Windsor: The busiest border intersection between Canada and the United States is closed for traffic for more than two hours on Monday after the authorities find the possibility of explosives during the vehicle inspection.
The Ambassador bridge that connects Windsor, Ontario and Detroit is closed with all the traffic and the surrounding area is also evacuated.
The Windsor police said that the Canadian border service agency told them after the possibility of explosives was found in vehicles in the secondary inspection area of the bridge complex.
The police said there was no direct threat carried out on the place or people in connection with the possibility of explosives and the intersection reopened.
The border body said it worked with emergency officials on both sides of the border to monitor the situation and minimize traffic disorders.
The closure was closed back to the Windsor-Detroit tunnel and the blue water bridge in Sarnia.
The bridge is very important to trade between the two countries.
