New Delhi: The Government Will Prepare 75 Science and Innovation Technology Hubs (STI) throughout the country exclusively for the scheduled caste (SCS) and the tribes scheduled to promote scientific talents and contribute to the socio-economic development of this community, the Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Wednesday.
Singh said the decision was taken after a meeting of high-level reviews with senior officials of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) here.
“In the last two years, 20 STI Hubs (13 for SCS, Seven for STS) have been established by DST which will directly benefit 20,000 SCS and STS through various interventions, spread in the livelihood sector, other non-agricultural livelihoods.
Various livelihood assets such as energy, water, health, education, etc., “he said.
He said 75 IMS hubs will be established in the country exclusively for SCS and STS with the aim of developing, maintaining and ensuring appropriate and relevant technology delivery for the creation of SC and St.

The State Minister of Science and Technology (Mandiri) said the STI hub would primarily have three times.
The first is to overcome the weakest linkages in the dominant livelihood system through the intervention of science and technology (S & T), the second is the creation of social companies based on power in the livelihood system and the latter is to improve the customary knowledge system (IKS) through the S & input T for strengthening livelihoods.
