THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three persons, including 2 panchayat membersthat have been detained by rural authorities and let off on bail after a scuffle that broke away at a vaccination facility at Attingal taluk hospital Sunday.
Mudakkal panchayat team members Poovanathummodu Biju and Poovanuthumoodu Manikantan who symbolize Kallinmoodu along with Kaippallikonam wards respectively were one of the detained persons.
Two other men called Anil Kumar along with Ajesh were arrested in relation to the event.
Attingal police stated that it had been an altercation over slot allocation material that caused the battle.
There have been allegations that a number of the volunteers at the appellate facility allow people in based on party affiliation to shoot vaccination and that was listened to by people who had reserved their own slots.
The authorities was a minor struggle that broke from individuals belonging to various political affiliations.
“I came for the dose of germ, once the scuffle broke out.
There was just 1 policeman and because of the hurry, the whole system away from the center was handled by volunteers.
They had a struggle with celebration guys who arrived for vaccination,” a eye witness stated.
The district government has issued admissions to prevent crowding at home centres but overcrowding was a cause of concern.
