The four women, in the age group 27-44 years, will be sent to Jamnagar after the Dussehra Festival.
Gajah – Rajeshwari (27), Gemini (31), Seetha (36) and Ruby (44) – owned by the MySore-Wadiyar Dynasty.
The royal family has six elephants, the four are creatures sent to facilities in Jamnagar.
Vijaykumar Gogi, Head of the Head of the Head of Forest (Wildlife), Karnataka, said that the Ministry of Forestry must issue permits for elephant transportation.
These are private-owned animals and departments only have certification that elephants are suitable for traveling.
“The Ministry of Forestry has also notified Gujarat forests about the transfer of these animals.” V CARIKAN, Deputy Forest Conservator, who has asked his veterinary team to examine elephants, say, “We will issue a fitness certificate after that they will be transferred to Jamnagar.
All elephants were saved from the circus and the royal family had submitted themselves to take care of them.” The source said Pachyderms was saved from the circus a few decades ago.
The court, which acted on the petition submitted by animal rights activists, has directed the forestry department to take over the elephant.
After the court order, the Royal Mysore family volunteered to take care of the elephant and they were handed over to the palace.
Elephants are attractions in the palace and are used for “elephant safaris”, where tourists have the opportunity to drive them by way of royalties.
Forest officials said that in 2017, the royal family wrote to the Ministry of Forestry to take back three elephants because the handler did not take care of the right animals.
However, the animals did not shift due to administrative problems.
Now they will finally move to Jamnagar.
A team from Karnataka visited Jamnagar to check the facilities there, after that agreed to their transfer to Jamnagar.
