Islamabad: Pakistani National Security Advisor (NSA) Moeed Yusuf met Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and told him that the world must be involved with the Taliban government formed in Afghanistan.
This message was delivered during Sherman’s two-day visit to Pakistan.
This visit came a day after the time representative of the State Secretary completed Indian visits and reaffirmed his goal to expand a comprehensive global strategic partnership with India.
Pakistan NSA held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary of State on Friday and the two leaders discussed bilateral issues and changing situations in the region, Geo News reported.
They also held talks about economic, trade and security situation in Afghanistan.
“The international community needs to speak and engage with the government while Afghanistan,” said Moeed Yoedaf.
Because the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Islamabad had urged to recognize the temporary government in a problematic country.
Except for a handful of countries such as China and Pakistan, no other country tends to recognize the clothes and adopt the waiting and watching policies.
This came when policy makers and geopolitics in Washington were advocating a shift in view of Islamabad after the takeover of the Taliban Afghanistan reportedly assisted by Pakistan.
This shift in the tide has been linked to Pakistan’s support and Overt for clothing which caused a democratically elected government’s quick fall in Kabul in August this year.
Last month, the Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Washington wanted to “Rate” his bond with Islamabad.
Pakistan’s foreign office then stated “shocking” for Blinken’s comments, said it was “not in line with the close collaboration” between the two countries
