Ahmedabad: A 25-year-old man from Vadodara, who has worked in a five-star hotel in the 14 sector in Gandhinagar, stabbed to death by some unknown people in sector-27 after a fight.
Inspector MB Bharwad Police Sector 21 said that Devansh Bhatia who had died at Hotel Leela in Gandhinagar as a receptionist for three months and lived in a rented house in the Shivam Society in Sector 7.
“After completing the Saturday night shift, he was given a holiday after serving Night, and the weekly on Thursday, “he said.
Bharwad said Bhatia took Tiffin services from someone named Bharat Maru from the same housing community.
When Maru called him on Thursday night, Bhatia told him that he would gather his tiffin at night.
But because he didn’t call back, Maru called him again at around 11:30 a.m.
on Thursday but the telephone was missed.
Around 7:30 a.m.
on Friday, Bhatia’s father called Maru and told him that his son had a fight at a shop in the Sector-27 public park.
Maru rushed there and found that Bhatia was stabbed to death.
Bharwad said that they had no clue about who killed him and what the murder motive was.
“According to local residents who knew Bhatia, he was a very shy and simple person who was never involved in a dispute with anyone.
So it became difficult to find a murder or killer motif,” Bharwad said.
Bharwad said that the incident might occur during Wee hours on Friday and there were no witnesses of the murder.
Prima facie’s request suggested that he stabbed several times by the defendant.
He said that aside from the Sector-21 police, the branch of local crime from Gandhinagar personnel has also been deployed to solve this case.
The lack of CCTV in the area has made it more difficult for the police to identify people accused.
