Hyderabad: Telangana liquor sales showed significant growth with the Department of Excise generate Rs 14 230 crore (Combined beer and IMFL) in the first six months of this fiscal year.

Rangeddy district has the highest liquor sales, to Rs 3,241 crore, followed by Nalgonda District, with Rs 1,599 crore.
According to department sources, Rangeddy has more shops and pubs in the metropolitan area, while sales in Nalgonda strong because of the current situation in the neighboring ap.
In the last six months, 2.216 outlets, pubs, and bars the country, selling a total of 1.7 cases of liquor and 1.57 cases of beer.
In September, sales of beer are on the rise which has been declining for several months due to price hike of Rs 90 to Rs 150.
