Twitter has launched a new feature that will allow you to remove followers without blocking it.
His actions were also dubbed ‘soft blocks.
The social media platform began testing this feature last month and now it will be accessible to each user.
To secretly delete followers or to someone’s soft block, you must go to your profile and click on followers.
After that, click on three points next to the follower you want to delete and select ‘Remove this follower’.
The soft block is very different from the block because users can still access your tweets and profiles.
Users will be permitted to direct your message too but they will not be able to see your update in their feed.
Users will also be allowed to follow you again.
Until now, to remove followers, you only have the option to block.
This new feature comes as part of an anti harassment effort by the platform.
Last month, Twitter also began testing new features called security mode that automatically blocked accounts that use potentially dangerous languages.
It is unclear when this new feature will be launched but by looking at the release of the soft block feature, it is expected that this feature will immediately exit.
Recently, the platform also improved video quality and live broadcasts.
To improve video quality, the company has removed pre-processing steps in the video pipeline during the upload.
The removed step is used to divide the video into a smaller part for consumption.
