Jaipur: The state government of the Mulls to build the Tower of the Inpatient (IPD) Department in SMS Hospital in two phases.
As per the previous plan, the entire project was proposed to be completed in 21 months.
However, in the revision plan it was stated to complete phase-1 in 21 months and phase-2 in 12 months.
Speculation is that the plan has been revised because the state government is worried that the entire project will not be completed in 21 months and it might not formalize it before the election.
An official said, “Twelve floors will be built in phase-1 and the remaining 10 stories in phase-2.
All the height of the building will be 125 meters.” The draft has also been prepared to increase project costs.
Now, the revised project costs will be the RS 500 Crore including goods and service tax (GST).
Previously, it was RS 405 Crore not including GST.
“The final decision will be taken by the Minister of Development of Urban and Housing (UDH),” said an official.
The source said the decision was also taken to build a project in phase as the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) did not accept high permits from the Indian Airport Authority (AAI).
The tower will be the highest in the state with a height proposed 125 meters where the first helipad will be built.
Recently, (AAI) has provided an objection certificate (NOC) to build build up to a height of about 51 meters.
An official at the City Planning Department said, “After the study, the appeal committee for high permits will then provide NOC for high-rise.
The committee will verify whether the structure comes on the airplane path.” The building will be the only type because it will have an ambulance landing facility Air for helicopters, basements include parking and hospital services and 20 theaters operating.
This project was announced in a budget speech.
The Ministry of Medical Education has sanctioned RS 96 Crore for its implementation.
Furthermore, Jaipur Smart City is limited to provide additional sanctions Rs 125 Crore for the project.
