Thiruvananthapuram: A 19-year-old student was found dead at Hostel College here on Wednesday morning.
The police said the student died after he allegedly slipped and fell down the stairs at Hostel College.
Joshua Abraham, Reji Abraham’s son from Eroor near Anchal in Kollam Regency was the deceased.
Joshua is the second year of Mar Ivanios College in the city.
According to Mannanthala police, Joshua Abraham was found lying on the floor by his friends around 11:45 a.m.
Even though he rushed to the hospital, the doctors claimed to die on arrival.
Joshua Abraham is a member of the Basketball College team.
He lives in hostel as part of his training.
His teammate told the police that they played the game on Wednesday for almost two hours before his death.
Friends claimed that they last saw Joshua Abraham went to the first floor of the hostel to take cold water to drink.
Moments later, his friends found him lying on the legs of the stairs.
After death, a test revealed that Joshuabraham was a positive covid.
The police have not carried out inspection procedures and post mortem.
