Ramanathapuram: Former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam remembered on his 90th birthday on Friday.
Nearly 5,000 people visit the Kalam Memorial on Rameswaram Island.
Today’s events to celebrate scientists began with a prayer offered by his relatives at the warning decorated for that day.
It was followed by the homages paid by officials from the Organization of Research and Defense Development (Drdo) and officials from the Administration of Ramanathapuram District and District Police.
Visitors were given sweets when they entered a warning and a young tree when they left the place, to fulfill his vision to create a greener India.

Political leaders including the General Secretary of the Ammk T V D Dhinakanan and MNM President Kamal Haasan remembered former President Abdul Kalam at his birth warnings.
