Karnal: Burning stump continues in Haryana.
On Friday, 363 new cases were arrested by Haryana Space Application Center (Harsac), which was a surge in the highest single-day so far.
With 116 cases, Karnal reported the highest number of incidents, while 100 and 67 field fires were seen in Kaithal and Kurukshetra.
With this, the total number of cases of burning stumps (active fire location) in Haryana rose to 850 in a month (since September 15).
However, the incidence of agricultural fires in the state was still lacking this year compared to 1,835 cases reported in the period in accordance last year.
Data shows that most violations of fire on the fire stump are by Karnal farmers as 296 active fire locations have been reported from here.
This was attended by Kaithal (203), Kurukshetra (172), FateHabad (40), Ambala (39), Yamunanagar (32), Jind (23), Palwal (21), four each in Faridabad, and one in Faridabad.
Dinesh Sharma, SDO from the Karnal Ministry of Agriculture, said, “The department motivates farmers to ensure plant residual management.
In this case, around 435 custom recruitment centers have been established in Karnal District.
We ensure strict compliance with law.
So far, we have imposed a fine of around Rs 2.7 lakh in the district.
