Malumichampatti gets a new police station

Coimbatore: Police supervisor S Selvanagarathinam inaugurated a police post in Malumichampatti on the outskirts of the city on Saturday night.
He said police personnel would be available in the outpost round to attend law and order, and the traffic problem at the intersection where Pollachi, Chettipalayam, Madukkarai and Palladam Roads intersected.
The new police post fell below the Chettipalalayam police station.
The newly developed area, Malumichampatti is home to many educational institutions and industrial units.
It is the responsibility of the Chettipalalayam police to patrol in the area every day during the day and night by covering a minimum distance of 7 km.
Furthermore, police personnel at the post will be available to handle crimes and tracitic problems in the area.
Overcoming traders and entrepreneurs, SP said police personnel will be available at Outpost 24×7 to immediately respond to legal issues and orders in and around Malumichampatti.
Other police officers said all 16 CCTV cameras on the coimbatore-pollachi national highway were connected with postal police in Malumichampatti.
“The public addressing system is installed on the roadside pole to streamline traffic by making the necessary announcements.” The clerk said the barricade was placed near the post.
“In an emergency situation, the barricade will be placed at the intersection to facilitate vehicle checks.
The presence of police in the region will help reduce the crime rate.” Post-Outpost is equipped with a bathroom
