Beijing: China Parliament will consider laws to punish parents if their children show off “very bad behavior” or commit a crime.
In the Family Education Promotion Law Design, Guardian will be reprimanded and ordered to undergo a family education guidance program if prosecutors find very bad or criminal behavior in children under their care.
“There are many reasons for adolescents to behave badly, and the lack of inappropriate family education is the main cause,” Zang Tiewei, spokesman for the Legislative Affairs Commission under the National People’s Congress (NPC).
The draft family education promotion law, which will be reviewed in the NPC committee session this week, also urges parents to regulate their children to rest, play and exercise.
Beijing has used a firmer father’s hand this year, from attaching addiction to young people to online games, considers the form of “spiritual opium”, to clamp “blind” wildness of internet celebrities.
In recent months, the Ministry of Education has limited hours of game for minors, which allows them to play online games for one hour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
It has also reduced homework and prohibits Les After-School for the main subjects during weekends and holidays, worried about severe academic burdens in overwhelming children.
At the same time, China urged Chinese young men to be less “feminine” and more “male”.
In “proposals to prevent feminization of young men” issued in December, the Ministry of Education urged the school to promote sports on campus such as football.
