Gurgaon: The Chairman of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar on Sunday examed affordable flats built in sector 47 under the Ashiana scheme and directed official from Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to fix it in a month.
He also asked officials to prepare a list of beneficiaries and distribute this flat to them in the specified time.
To rehabilitate the residents of the slum, HSVP has built a total of 1,088 cheap flats in 2011 and 2015.
However, the flat has been lying empty since then because the authorities have not prepared a list of beneficiaries.
And with time, the flat condition has begun to deteriorate.
“Low-cost flats are built for Rs 50 Crore.
They are available in two sizes – 30.6 square meters and 34.3 sqmt.
This will be allocated to the recipient at a cost around Rs 4 Lakh,” said an HSVP official.
Officials said more than 1,500 people had submitted an affordable flats.
“Regency departments and administration identify beneficiaries that meet the requirements,” HSVP officials said.
