Lucknow: Congratulations on the candidate supported by BJP Nitin Agarwal for his victory for the deputy position of the speaker at the State Assembly, CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that the results have “exposed” cracks in the opposition association and is an indication of the assembly selection of 2022 results.
Agarwal is the son of former Naresh Agarwal State Minister who turned from the Jamajwadi Party to BJP.
Taking a potshot on the failure of SP as the biggest opposition party, the minister’s chairman said BJP was waiting for four and a full half a year, but SP did not submit any name to post at that time.
“Finally, considering the last six months of the remaining period, BJP meets the tradition,” he said.
Yogi also stated “sympathy” for candidate SP Narendra Verma, said that the party made him a candidate four years ago, he might be able to win.
Of the 364 valid votes, Verma got 60 votes.
Yogi said that even though he knew the results in advance, his party played the “betrayal game” with him.
Expressing happiness at home getting “Deputy Young, Energetic, and Experienced”, Yogi said that Agarwal “Technically” is also a member of SP and thus BJP “indeed followed the” tradition of the house.
Advise the SP ranking to rise above “Parivarvad” (nepotism), he said that “the family is the country” for the Samajwadi Party while BJP believes that the whole country is family.
CM also commented that opposition leader RAM Govind Chaudhary was a “man” who believed in dialogue but “did not have power” to bear party contradictions.
“This is why the contest that does not need to occur at home,” Yogi said.
He also called SP not take part in a 36-hour special session held at the 150-year anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth in 2019.
“When topics such as poverty, illiteracy, increasing women and the welfare of the youth discussed,” he said.
