Patna: A few days after idol immersion during Durga Puja in an artificial pool near the edge of the Ganga, Patna Sanitary Worker Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) began to clean Ghats from Monday to the upcoming Puja Chhath, which will be observed from November 8-11.

The Civic body has directed sanitation workers to clean all 92 Ghats under the city.
“Artificial ponds will be dried and we will take mud mud and left to raise the ground.
So, we must continue to clean Ghats for worshipers to do puja comfortably,” said one of the sanitation workers near Ghat times.
Other workers said, “Deendsions did not happen to all of these Ghats as an artificial pool made.
However, we have decided to consider them by considering in a hurry during the Puja Chhath.” Commissioner of Himanshu Sharma said the cleanliness drive that began on Monday will continue for weeks, making the bank and the river quite clean before the Chhath festival.
“In all circles, sanitation workers are quite stated to clean Ghats.
Settings for Chhath Puja will be made on the district authority instructions on Ghats which will be declared suitable,” he told this newspaper.
“Cleaning Ghats is a routine exercise of the Civic body,” he said.
District officials said preparations in Ghats for CHHAT will be planned after instructions from the House of Representatives considering the Covid-19 pandemic.
The decision is likely to be made in the next few days.
