LUCKNOW: In a significant relief to households of government employees who died because of Covid-19 through panchayat election obligations, the authorities will now take one to the ex gratia payment of Rs 30 lakh in the event the Covid-related passing happened within 30 days from the onset of their obligation.

“The district magistrate will check the info and pass it to the panchayati raj section.
We’ll forward every such situation to the state election commission that will then discharge the reimbursement,” said Singh.
A government spokesperson explained that every household will be given an ex gratia of Rs 30 lakh, according to a previous high court choice to pay Rs 1 crore.
“The government has recently filed prior to the court which the amount of Rs 30 lakh was put to the recommendation of the ECI and can be applicable in five nations where elections have been held this season,” he explained.
