Tuticorin: A man kills TV mechanics in Tuticorin District Tamil Nadu on Wednesday to marry a woman he wants to marry.
Ettayapuram police caught K Anandraj, 22, from Cholapuram, and recovered two knives from him.
Anandraj is a catering graduate who cooks on events and goats slaughtered at the temple festival.
He decapitated S Raggavan, 31, Kumaragiri Pudur who worked as a mechanic at the television service center owned by his relatives in Naduvirpatti near the Ettayapuram government hospital.
Two years ago, Ragahavan was friends with Mahalakshmi, 21, when he studied at the Typewriting Institute near his television service center.
They fall in love.
Duo families are very objected to their relationship because they belong to different caste.
Anandraj, which is included in the Mahakshmi community, expressed his interest in marrying him.
He was upset that Mahakshmi turned and explained that he would marry Raghavan.
Two months ago, Raghavan married Mahalahakshi despite the opposition from the family.
Anandraj hatched plans to kill Raghavan.
About a week ago, he took a broken LED television to the last TV service center to fix it.
He called Raghavan every day with the pretext of checking whether television remained.
On Tuesday, Ragahvan asked Anandraj to collect television on Wednesday.
Around 11 o’clock in the morning, Anandraj reached the service center with a shopper bag where he kept two knives and chili powder.
Anandraj took the argument with Raghavan over his marriage to Mahalakshmi.
He threw chili powder on a mechanical face and attacked him with a knife.
He cauted him and threw his head on the road.
Tuticorin District Police Supervisors Jayakumar visited the place, conducted an initial investigation and formed a team to arrest the defendant.
Then, Anandraj was arrested.
Raghavan’s body was sent to Thooothukudi Medical College and Hospital for Postmortem.
