Lucknow: The inauguration of Kushinagar Airport was only one step in the efforts of the Uttar Pradesh Government to promote religious tourism in the state, a government spokesman said on Wednesday.
As part of the state plan to change the country to the center of religious and spiritual tourism, the government works towards the construction of new religious sites and also clears the prominent pilgrims including Chitrakoot and Vindhyachal, he said.
“Encouraging the integrated development of all states, the Yogi Aditentalath government has worked to complement the famous religious sites including ‘Taposthali’ Lord RAM in Chitrakoot, Naimiannya and Shakti Peetha in Vindhyachal with advanced facilities for the comfort of worshipers,” said the spokesman.
He added that the place of the temple has been renovated and rebuilt with the right way, parking and sanitation facilities.
In addition to Ropeway services in Chitrakoot Dham, Vindhyachal, Ropeway construction work also took place at Barsana, Mathura.
Amenities for tourists are also being upgraded and developed in Agra and Fatehpur Sikri under Jain and Sufi circuits.
The state government is also a Constitution of Naimiants Teerth Kshetra Vikas Parishad, Chitrakoot Teerth Kshetra Vikas Parishad and Devipatan Teerth Vikas Parishad to increase tourism potential of these sites.
“Government exercises to classify tourism based on various circuits including Ramayana circuits, braj circuits, mahabharata circuits, shaktipeeth circuits, adhyatmik circuits, Jain circuits and Buddhist circuits, produce very good results because they automatically attract domestic and foreign tourists,” said a spokesman .
