Gorakhpur: The Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister on Wednesday registered the achievement of the state government in terms of new airports, expansion and their improvement.
“From 1947 to 2014, there were only two airports in the state – one in Lucknow and the others in Varanasi.
Today, up has direct air connectivity with 75 locations and the number only rises that day,” Yogi said while speaking at the inaugural ceremony Kushinagar International Airport.
“Previously, the country was connected by air with only 15-16 cities, and now the 9th airport in Kushinagar has become functional.
Uttar Pradesh has a direct flight for 75 major cities in the country.

“Even though East is still ignored after independence, now with new developments in Kushinagar, five crore people in the area will experience positive changes, he added.
During his speech at the Temple of Mahaparinirvan at Kushinagar on the occasion of Abhidhamma Day, Yogi said, “Kushinagar has given a message of love and friendship at the international level.
PM Modi has continued a new resolution to rebuild Buddhist messages at the global level with the first international flight from SRI Lanka.
