Mumbai: Mumbai on Thursday reported 429 positive cases of Coronavirus and five deaths, taking infection counting to 7,52,386 and tolls to 16,197, a civilian official said.
It was for the second day in a row that Metropolis had reported more than 400 cases.
On Wednesday, he had witnessed 463 cases and four deaths.
With 34,220 tests carried out in the last 24 hours throughout the city, the number of cumulative tests rose to 1,10,95,762, the official said.
There were 4,537 cases of Covid-19 active in the country’s financial capital after 435 patients were restored and removed from the hospital, taking a recovery count to 7.29.131.
At present, 42 buildings have been sealed throughout the city to succeed in the spread of the virus, while it is free from the detention zone since mid-August, said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials.
The Mumbai recovery rate is 97 percent.
The doubling level of the case was 1,328 days and the average growth rate was 0.05 percent for the period between 14 and 20 October, the official said.
Earlier this year, Mumbai has reported the highest daily case of 11,163 on April 4, while the highest 90 fatalities were witnessed on May 1.
