Lucknow: After a man holding a revolver sneaked into place, where the chairman of Yogi Adityanath’s Minister was scheduled to overcome an event in Basti two days, seven police were suspended due to security hoses on Friday.
Men with licensed firearms, Jitendra Pandey, Nabbed at least 45 minutes before the arrival of Yogi, but the head rolled on the police when intruders passed several layers of stir that leads to the venue.
Pandey, who claimed to be a relative of the Pramukh block in Basti, was arrested with a gun in the last drill before the VIP event began at the Auditorium Atal Bihar Vajpayee.
The probe panel was formed immediately after security violations indicted seven police for dereltioning tasks.
Speaking with Toi, police supervisor, Basti, Ashish Srivastava, said, “KIRCLE ITWA officers on duty, Ramesh Pandey, saw a man holding a gun in the auditorium during the security protocol exercise.” The senior police were told and the man was quickly taken away.
But seven police deployed to invite Frisk at the entrance to the suspended auditorium and the actions of the department had been recommended against them.
“Of the seven, two police sourced from the neighboring Siddharthnagar district and the other of Sant Kabir Nagar, was also suspended.
Those who were suspended from Basti include Sub-Inspector of Vindhyachal Kumar, Harirai, Police Chief Shivdhani and Ramrakash.
