Coimbatore: City Corporation plans to tidy up the intersection of uppilipallayam signals by planting ornamental plants in the median and on both sides of the road, the official said the corporate center zone.
Officials said that the corporate commissioner King Gopal Sunkara made an inspection on the signal on Thursday, after checking the cleanliness of the public toilet there.
Disappointed by the way the place was maintained, he attracted officials and instructed them to improve the median, which was in dilapidated condition, and the road.
An official said that they would carry out repairs to work in a few weeks.
Planting ornamental plants will also be carried out at the same time.
They will do work with roping on volunteers.
The Commissioner has instructed not to receive any funds and instead of binding people who are interested in doing their own work or by asking them to bind with some agents to do work.
This intersection is important in various government offices including the Collectorate branch with avinashi road.
