Ludhiana: Police on Saturday booked a fake army officer because of cheating 27 youth lakh rupees with the pretext of helping them get a job in the army.
The defendant has been identified as Sarwan Singh, aka Colonel, aka Pradeep Singh, from Nurpur Bet.
Charan Singh from Phallewal said in his police complaint, “I met the defendant after he visited my acquaintance to get a driving permit.

He told me that he helped young people get a job in the army and charged a fee for it.
