Ludhiana: The police arrested three drug vendors, including two women, after 200gram heroin, 1.3 kilograms of marijuana and Rs 2.8-lakh drug money recovered from them in two separate incidents.
In the first case, a car was stopped at the checkpoint at Teacher Ramdas Colony, Bhamiyan Road, on Sunday night.
During checking, the police found 200 grams of heroin and 2.8 lakh Rs in both residents – a woman and a man.
Sahil and Sunita Rani from Teacher Ramdas Colony were arrested and produced in local courts who sent them in the police disposal of two days.
In the second case, Division 2 police arrested a woman near a civil hospital after 1.3kg marijuana recovered from him.
He has been identified as Chanda, who lives in a slum near Dholewal under Bridge.
The police said, “He came from the side of the brown road and tried to escape to see the police.
He was arrested and during checking, the bag containing the drug was found in him.”
