New Delhi: In significant development, the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) has arrested an Indian naval officer who serves together with two retirees regarding the leakage of confidential information relating to the modernization of one-class submarine.
The population sources of the government told Ani that after the development took place last month, the Indian Navy also ordered a high-level investigation under the Representatives and Rear Admiral to investigate information leaks and look for ways to prevent the incident in the future.
“After getting the input of the agent concerned, the CBI arrested the naval officer who served the rank of commander (LT which was equivalent to the Army) who was currently posted in Mumbai for delivering unauthorized information related to the kilo-grade submarine modernization project for retirees.

The CBI has questioned a number of other serving officers related to the officers arrested, they said.
The Indian Navy has provided assistance in an ongoing investigation by the central agency and gives its people to be interrogated by investigating officers, the source of defense.
