Gurgaon: Hyyana State Industrial and the Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDAC) have floated tenders for the development of roadside facilities in two locations along the Kundli-Maneswal-Palwal (KMP) freeway, almost three years after a 136-km stretch opened for commuters.
.
According to officials, four sites have been marked for the development of facilities such as fuel stations and restaurants when the toll road is built, but they are not developed.
At present, the entire freeway, which is also known as the West Bank freeway, only has one gas station.
However, however, it is not possible for facilities on two sites that tenders have been swoues to be ready before 2024.
Site 6.5 hectares are at a sign of 95.3km on the left lane and 47.6km mark to the right of the carriageway.
“We floated tenders on October 22 for the development of roadside facilities on two sites.
Facilities will include gas stations and CNG, Dhaba and five or six types of restaurants, and toilets.
People can send their offer until November 22,” said officials HsiIDC senior.
“Tender has floated for a 30-year concession period, including two and a half years for the construction and development of facilities,” officially added.
Commuter said the absence of basic facilities was prevented when it comes to traveling through the toll road.
Santosh Mishra, a resident of the Gurgaon 83 sector whose daughter of his studies at a private university in Sonipat, said: “Before the Pandemic, my daughter and her friends used to travel back and forth between Gurgaon and Sonipat regularly, because they were housing courses..
They Will return home on most of the weekend, carpooling for that purpose.
Even though the KMP toll road route will be shorter for them and cut travel time almost an hour, they prefer to take a longer route through Delhi just because the KMP does not have facilities.
“He added,” If the car is damaged or there is another problem, there is no place for commuting to get help or stops along the stretch.
Until this facility was developed, we could not use the toll road, regardless of how comfortable it was in terms of time or distance.
“The driver of the Satpal Singh truck revealed a similar view.
“When we travel along the toll roads throughout the country, we have several choices of places where we can stop to refuel or rest if we are tired.
Since KMP Expressway does not have this facility, using stretching involves more planning.
We must ensure that We eat before we start driving and our fuel tank is full.
Instead of stretching can’t be used for us, but everything will be much easier if this facility is available.
At present, it’s just additional stress when using a highway, “he said.
