Noida: The 36-year-old lawyer walked home from a meeting was shot dead outside his home in the Noida phase area on Monday night.
The police suspected the role of his cousin, with whom the lawyer was involved in a prolonged property dispute.
The Nishant Singh family member found him injured outside the main gate of their house in Illhabas Village at around 9:30 p.m.
They said they did not hear the gunshot that was fired.
The police said condolences met that Singh had been present only a few meters from his house.
CCTV’s footage, the police added, showed him to leave the place to meet and walk towards his house.
It is believed that Singh was shot twice at the waist from behind when he opened the gate of his house.
However, family members do not have a hunch of attacks on Singh.
“We were inside when he was shot.
We did not hear shots or vehicles passing in our house at that time.
When one of us came out, he saw Nishant lying on the ground, blood flowing from bullet wounds at the waist,” said father Lawyers, Prem Singh.
Sujeet Upadhyay, Police Station Sho of Phase 2, said they got a “strong instructions” against Singh’s cousin, Sandeep.
“He was clearly involved in the murder.
The crime is planned well by a group, it seems.
The role of others is being investigated,” he added.
The Singh and Sandeep family have been involved in a long and bitter dispute of more than 120 bghas.
The case associated with him was being heard in court.
“There are fixed order in this case.
A number of Panchayats are also held in the past on land disputes.
About 35 large family members are parties for this case,” said Prem Singh.
Previously, the police had to take action against the two parties under the CRPC Section 151.
DCP (Central Noida) Harish Chander said the police had announced RS 25,000 prize about the arrest of Sandeep.
