Bokaro: Only 23% of the 15 beneficiaries of Lakh who fulfilled the requirements are fully vaccinated in Bokaro, officials said on Tuesday.
In terms of numbers, a total of 12,62,169 beneficiaries have received Jab so far, where 9.64.183 received their first dose and 2.97,986 considered the two doses to make it fully vaccinated.
Overall, the district has crossed a 60% sign, but 77% percent who completed their time frame for the second dose had not taken it, added officials.
The Ministry of Health said that it happened at the current speed, they could achieve inoculation of people targeted only at the end of December.
Many people, especially in rural areas are not advanced to get the second dose even after the completion of 84 days, said the official.
“The district health department will soon launch a special awareness campaign to make them aware of the assistance of Panchayat and Sahiya representatives,” said Jitendra Kumar Singh, a civil surgeon, Bokaro.
Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Choudhary has instructed authority to improve session sites and direct them to start separate session sites specifically for senior citizens (60 pluses).
DC was also asked to bind NGOs to accelerate vaccination / sampling work in the district.
