Kolkata: a 40-year-old senior nurse, who works with the Covid Medical College and Hospital unit, suffered a serious throat injury because of Chinese spoiled at The Park Street Flyover while he drove a two-wheeled vehicle at around 16:30 on Wednesday.
The victim, Paromita Roy, posted as a sister-responsible for Covid CNCI unit in Rajarhat, gave up traveling with public transportation due to a pandemic.
The incident occurred when he headed to Park Street from Esplanade.
“A pink maja who was entangled in my neck when I was riding a scooter caused in my throat,” Roy told me.
He filed a complaint on the Kolkata traffic police account, pushing the police in Lalbazar to order a probe into the incident.
“I gave up his threat, which was entangled in my neck, to the sergeant on duty at the next intersection.
Please take action,” he wrote in his complaint.
Responding to the incident, the Senior Traffic Police said they would write to civil agents to arrange high barriers as they exist in Maa Flyover.
They also want obstacles to be installed at the AJC Bose Road and Park Street Flyovers and Setu Vidyasagar.
There is a bird report that sustains injuries from spoiled at Park Street Flyover, but this is the first time two-wheeled riders injured.
Police sources said surprise attacks had been planned in eight police station areas in and around the AJC Bose Road Flyover-Maa Flyover-Park Street Flyover Street.
“We have carried out such attacks in 2018 and can minimize accidents.
We have managed to catch more than 16 people at that time,” said an officer.
