Maha gives Rs 50L to Jinji fortress at TN

Mumbai: Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray has announced that the Maharashtra government will provide Rs 50 Lakh against Jinji’s conservation in Tamil Nadu.
This decision was taken at the request submitted by Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje at the Steering Committee meeting at Fort Conservation in the state.
Jinji Fortress in Tamil Nadu is known as the fourth capital of Swarajya.
Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, ruled from here for eight years.
Funds will be saved with the center archaeological department for palace conservation.
In the meeting, it was also decided that citizens and locals must be involved during the conservation and maintenance of the fort in the state.
The country has taken six forties – Rajgadh, Torna, Shivneri, Sudhagad, Vijaydurg and Sindhudurg – for conservation work.
