New Delhi: A 25-year-old man was killed on Friday at a meeting with Delhi police in the Begumpur area of Rohini, police said.
Two police personnel also received injuries during the exchange of fire, they said.
The man had been identified as Deepak Sharma aka Tiger, a sniper Gogi Gang and Jind residents in Haryana.
He was involved in six criminal cases, they said.
The police received information on Friday about Sharma, who wanted in the case of a murder of someone named Radhe, a member of the rival Tillau Tajpuriya Gang, officials said.
Sharma, a resident of Rohini, also jumped parole, said a senior police officer.
The police reached the place.
A man who was seen coming with a bicycle was marked to stop, officials said.
However, the man tried to escape but his motorcycle slipped.
The defendant opened fire on the police and the police Vikas and Sunny were injured.
The police also opened fire on Sharma who was also injured in this incident, said the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal.
Who was hurt in a hurry to a BSA hospital where Sharma was declared dead, DCP said.
One of the sophisticated pistols was restored from the crime scene, police said.
Gogi was shot dead in the Rohini courtroom on September 24 by two attackers, dressed as a lawyer, at Tillu Tajpuriya’s orders.
The attackers were killed in a shot by police.
Teeth and Gang Tillu have fought each other for years and their competition has claimed dozen lives.
