Kalyan: Worker of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Friday protested the state government because it failed to resolve technical problems relating to the rebuilding of old, dangerous and illegal buildings in the city of Thane Region Ulhasnagar.
Under the leadership of the President of Ulhasnagar Bandu Deshmukh, MNS workers sat in one day protest opposite the company’s headquarters Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation.
Deshmukh said that Ulhasnagar’s dangerous building problems have become very serious in the city.
“In the past 12 years, around 40 buildings fainted or emptied and at least 50 people have been killed in such accidents.
This week again, some of the two buildings collapsed, outside, in one incident, one person died and two.
Injured,” he said .
Deshmukh said that three months ago, when the portion of several buildings fainted to kill 12 people, the state government has appointed a committee that claimed that in 15 days, all technical problems arising in the work of rebuilding illegal buildings dangerous in the city would be resolved.
But there has been no decision taken by the state government.
Deshmukh also accused three months after the announcement of compensation for each Rs 5 Lakh for 12 people who had died, no amount provided by the state government.
Deshmukh demanded that the Maharashtra government must solve problems in priority or such incidents will continue and people will continue to die without permission to rebuild their old buildings.
