Pune: Mundhwa police on Saturday seized 700 kg of meat worth RS1.05 Lakh after intercepting Tempo on Jalan Manjari-Mundhwa at 9 am to suspicion of vehicles carrying beef.
Police said the tempo brought meat illegally and they suspected beef.
Social workers, Pratik Gaikwad (29) from Mundhwa, filed a police complaint in this matter.
According to the police, Tempo headed to Mundhwa and the tempo driver did not have permission from the Department of Animal Husbandry to transport meat.
The police also won the Tempo.
