Nagpur: 4.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale hit Sironcha Taluka from Gadchiroli close to the Telangana border on Sunday.
Gadchiroli collector Sanjay Meena has stated that there is no loss of human life or property.
The National Center for Seismology (Ministry of Earth) confirmed the event with a depth of 77 km, which originated from the 19.00 latitude and longitude 79.96 at 6.48: 00.
Gupis earthquake was reported to fit the latitude and longitude on the border of Gadchiroli and Telangana near Jafrabad Chak, close to the Pranhita River in Sironcha Taluka.
Collectors say official communication is awaited from the relevant departments.
“We will share the details of the event immediately after official communication reaches us.
So far we have just received confirmation,” Meena said.
Source from Sironcha stated that residents felt the floor and furniture vibrate in the house for about five to 10 seconds.
“People rushed out of their homes for fear but ended even before they could realize what happened,” said a resident.
The source of the district stated that the earthquake was felt to Talukas side by side with Aheri and Ashti too.
The impact of the earthquake was felt in several parts of Telangana too, until the Beleamal.
In some areas in Manherial and Kagaznagar, the earthquake was felt.
