Thiruvananthapuram: The PWD minister told the assembly on Friday that the coordination of various departments and institutions was very important for the work of the vattiyorkavu intersection development that was waiting.
On behalf of the PWD minister, a Mohammed Riyas, Minister Devaswom K Radhakrishnan told the house that detailed topographic surveys of the project location were being carried out.
Development work is being carried out in two phases.
While PWD is responsible for the development of the intersection and expansion of related roads, the local government department is responsible for rehabilitation of people who are expelled due to land acquisition.
This project has received in-principle sanctions for the development of the intersection at a cost of Rs 100 Crore.
After entering expenditures for the development of related roads, detailed projects worth RS 199.4 Crore have been delivered for KIIFB approval.
This, Kiifb has given a sanction of Rs 95 Crore.
The boundary stone has been placed and the income department has completed the procedure for land acquisition according to 11 (1) notification.
The value of building assessment in the first reach of Sasthamangalam until Mannakkonam has been completed.
The assessment of buildings in the other two reaches complete.
KRFB has been appointed as SPV for crossing development.
