Kalyan: A married couple, who fell into a gap between the platform and practiced when riding a moving train, saved by the Warning and Passenger Ticket Checker at Kalyan Train Station.
The incident took place on Sunday morning at 9.12 in the morning at the 4/5 platform at the Kalyan train station.
Jaspal Singh Rathore, CTI Kalyan said, “A married couple tries to run the Udyan Express train (01301) and fall into the gap between the platform and the train”.
TC on-Duty warnings, Ranjit Kumar, immediately rushed to help and notify passengers on the train asking them to attract chains.
The train stops after a few seconds.
However, three to four coaches have passed.
Then, Kumar with the help of other passengers attracted a partner outside.
Miraculously, the couple did not suffer injury.
Rathore said, “Because both of them captured the platform, they survived without injury.” Other train officials, who did not want to be named after, “If TC and other passengers at the station do not immediately rush to help and stop practicing, it can be fatal for couples who are trapped in the gap”.
A senior TC railway from Central Railway said, “It was found that many passengers did not check the coach’s position on the train hostel train because of such events occurred.”
