Agra: The body of two children was found dumped at Yamuna Expressway within 5 km, near a milestone of 74 and 79 in Mathura, on Tuesday morning.
Some injuries are found on their faces and bodies.
One of the bodies was found to hang upside down on barbed wire.
SSP Gaurav Grover said the corpse had been sent for post-mortem and their DNA samples were preserved.
Children are around eight and 12 years old, he said.
“The photos they have been circulated on social media,” he said, adding that the Rajasthan police, Punjab, Haryana, and NCR had been told.
Post-Mortem will be carried out by the doctor’s panel after 72 hours, in accordance with the procedure arranged with an unknown body.
The process will be recorded.
Both children wear their jeans and hair cut in a way that is almost identical.
The body was seen between 8am and 9 in the morning by a pedestrian, who immediately told the police.
The police also tried to find out whether children were related.
Some incidents of such a body dumped near the toll road have been reported in the past.
