ThiruvananThapuram: The Principal Session Court here on Monday gave an anticipatory guarantee to Anupama’s parents and four others in a case filed by Anupama who accused them of giving their payment without his consent.
The judge observed that the defendant’s custody was not important in this case.
Those who got an anticipatory guarantee were parents Anupama Jayachandran and Smitha James, Sister Anju, her husband Arun, friends of Jayachandran Ramesh and former member of the Anilkumar Company Board.
The court quoted a lack of criminal anteceden applicants to provide guarantees.
Also, it will be very inappropriate to suspect that they will go underground.
Although prosecution said the defendant could try to influence the witness, the court said like it could be prevented by giving them strict instructions.
If at all they are arrested, they must be left with a guarantee of the guarantee of RS 1 Lakh or individual assurance of two people, the court ordered.
