Glasgow: US climate messenger John Kerry said American climate negotiators experienced significant talks with their Russian and Chinese colleagues at the UN Summit in Glasgow, Scotland.
It was released from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping jumped over the round of climate negotiations of world leaders, a decision to trigger complaints from US President Joe Biden when he was present a few days ago.
Kerry told reporters that he arrived late at Friday’s press conference because Americans had spoken with Russian officials at the top of efforts to reduce pollution from methane, gas that damaged a strong climate.
“We talk about how we can deal with methane, maybe work together,” Kerry said about Russia.
“And we met China here, and we have spoken for several days trying to find out, is there a shared foundation, as a way to try moving forward,” Kerry said.
“There is a sense of urgency.” Biden last week blamed Xi and Putin did not “appear” due to lack of progress in the group of 20 climate discussions at night summit.
