Mumbai: Mumbai on Friday reported 238 new Coronavirus cases and four new deaths, taking infection calculations to 7,57,272 and tolls to 16,269, said a citizenship official.
On the second day in a row, Mumbai has reported less than 300 Covid-19 cases, a counting that will come behind under 25,000 tests one day during Sunday Diwali.
Financial capital has recorded 262 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths on Thursday.
The official said the city was abandoned with 3,326 cases of Covid-19 active after 276 patients were dismissed from the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking the amount of recovery to 7.35,135.
However, the number of Covid-19 tests daily, down below the 25,000 mark.
The official said 24,901 Covid-19 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, pushing their cumulative number to 1,16.08.806.
On Thursday, 35,018 swab samples were examined in the metropolis.
At present, Mumbai has 22 closed buildings (where a number of certain residents have tested positive Coronavirus), while Çity is free from the detention zone in the slums and ‘Chawl’ (old row plots) since mid-August, he said.
According to officials, the recovery rate of Coronavirus Mumbai is 97 percent.
The ruling rate of city cases is 1,832 days, while the average growth rate of infection reaches 0.04 percent between October 29 and November 4, he said.
This year, Mumbai reported the highest cases at 11,163 on April 4 and most of the deaths at 90 on May 1.
