Mumbai: The newly formed special investigation team (sitting) the operating unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrived in Mumbai on Saturday, the day after taking over six cases, including the Bust Cruise drug case involving Bollywood’s son Actor Shah Rukh Khan Aryan was investigated by the unit Mumbai from the agency led by Sameer Wankhede.
Press releases by NCB said this was done on “administrative reasons” and no one had been removed from this case.
Wankhede said he had not been removed from this case.
Sitting led by IPS officers Sanjay Singh told the media that his team would need help from the Mumbai unit.

Singh, IPS officer Cadre Odisha Batch 1996, is currently posted as Deputy Director General (Operations Unit) at the Delhi NCB office, arriving at Mumbai with his team and going to the Mumbai NCB office.
Six cases taken over by sitting include the case of Aryan Khan, the case of the arrest of Armaan Actor Kohli, Minister of Maharashtra Nawab Malik son-in-law, case of Sameer Khan, and three other drug cases.
Being formed on Friday and NCB said the special team will take over investigations from Mumbai NCB in six cases – which according to agencies have “national and international consequences, to carry out deeper investigations to find advanced and backward linkages”.
The Minister of State and NCP Leader Nawab Malik have alleged that the case of the Jayran Narcotics Bust is fake and released a picture of the witness who accompanied Arya Khan to the NCB office and Selfie with Khan.
One witness was a BJP worker and the other one K P Gosavi was a criminal, he accused.
Gosavi, who wants in some cases, then captured by Pune police cheating.
The case also pulled the controversy after one of the witnesses Prabhakar sailed in a statement accused of discussions about the results of payment to be carried out to an NCB official in addition to the meeting with Shah Rukh manager Khan Pooja Dadlani where money exchanged.
Another witness, Sam D’Souza, whose name knows in Affidavit Sail said that Rs 50 Lakh was collected from Dadlani but was returned after he realized that Gosavi was a cheat.
The state has formed a sit to investigate extortion allegations.
Wankhede denied extortion allegations.
Wankhede faced criticism from several NCP politicians and Shiv Sena who accused him of tarnishing Bollywood images.
The source said the probe in the case of Aryan Khan will be taken forward from the point where Ananaya Pandey’s statement was recorded.
Minister NCP Nawab Malik also continued a letter that was not named and was not signed on NCB brass.
