Patna: Three people, including two income department employees, were arrested on Saturdays on charges of offering bottle of alien liquor (IMFL) smuggled into Madhepur Circle (CO) Pankaj Kumar Singh to resolve disputes.
The three allegedly reached the official residence of Singh in the Madhubani district on Saturday night and offered him a bottle of liquor.
They are forwarded to Judicial custody on Sunday night after production in front of the court in Jhanjharpur.
CO, which was offered a bottle of liquor by his subordinates, who called Sho from the Madhepur police station, Ashok Kumar, and asked him to take action.
A police team immediately reached the official co and arrested three accused, which was identified as an employee of the Saket Kumar Singh (26) revenue department (26) and Chandrashekhar Yadav (52) and one Lallan Mishra aka Sudarshan Mishra (50).
“The three were taken to the police station and were then taken to a local hospital for medical tests.
They were found in a drunken condition in the Breathalyser test,” Sho said.
He added that CO has submitted a boarry in connection with this case, allegating that Saket who issued an IMLF bottle was smuggled from the bag and tried to give the same gift to him.
“The main investigation revealed that there was a dispute between co and two subordinates arrested.
Two employee income departments might try to enjoy co by offering a bottle of liquor,” Sho said.
He added police also stormed the three residence accused after their arrest.
“Half full bottle of liquor was found from the kitchen Yadav,” he said.
