City: Police Rajasthan ass killed after the vehicle hit his motorcycle on the highway in the Jhalawar district when he was on his way to arrest a presentation accused, officials said on Tuesday.
Constable Dushyant Gurjar (26), a resident of Sarambamalan Village in Jhalawar District, posted at the Asnawar police station in the same district.
He has joined the police service in 2018 and survived by two young daughters.
Gurjar was on his way to arrest a murder accused of being in the nearest village on Monday night when the unknown vehicle crashed into his motorcycle around 8:15 a.m.
at the NH-52 near Dongargaun Ghati, said the Asnawar police station Singh Randhawa.
The injured police immediately rushed on a police vehicle to the SRG Hospital in Jhalawar, where the doctor stated he was taken dead, he added.
The police submitted a negligent case of driving against an unknown vehicle driver, who escaped from the place and effort was being carried out to track it, he said.
The body was handed over to family members after post-Mortem on Tuesday morning after the constables were cremated by the state award in their home village, Sho said further.
