Thane: Residents 27 villages protest an increase in property tax by KDMC

Kalyan: Residents of 27 villages in Kalyan on Tuesday conducted headquarters outside Morcha from Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) about increasing property taxes in 27 villages.
The protesters burned a copy of the property tax bill issued by KDMC demanded to cancel the increase in taxes in 27 village regions.
Protests were led by 27 Ganv Sangharsh Samiti President Gangaram Shelan and Vice President Gulab Vazze.
Vaze said that after 27 villages were included in KDMC, they had increased property taxes at least 10 times but have not provided services in these villages.
Protests supported by the MNS party.
Delegation during protests met with KDMC officials and demanded them to cancel increased taxes.
After meeting KDMC officials, the delegation warned that if taxes did not decline and corporate employees came to gather an increase in taxes forcefully then they would be responsible if the legal and order situation appeared.
