Gurgaon: In the midst of construction and unauthorized changes that are rampant in residential buildings after administration of work certificates (OC), the City and State Planning Department (DTCP) has formed five teams to maintain the violation.
These teams, led by junior engineers, will check the site twice after administration of OC – first in 10 days and the second within 45 days – and will report to the district city planner office.
Post their report, the department will begin actions against offenders.
“Construction and unauthorized changes are rampant in several regions after administration of OC.
Inspection will help ascertain whether property owners have embraced the original building plan or carrying out unauthorized construction,” said the District City Planner (Enforcement) Batth Hospital.
“After the work certificate is issued, our team will visit sites after 10 days and then again after 45 days and verify whether the construction is in accordance with the approved development plan.
The action will be taken according to what might include the cancellation of OC, sealing or even building demolition,” Add it.
According to officials, the department faces a difficult time in controlling unauthorized construction, mostly by the owner of property given by OCS recently.
“They have done construction in the front and back area of their plots and even in the Karaul parking area, violating the norm,” another official said.
In 2019, the DTCP increased the ratio of the floor area (remotely) plots measuring 300 square meters of up to 264%, and 240% for larger plots.
The department even allowed the construction of guard and toilet spaces in the stage area.
