Chandigarh: A 45-year-old farmer from Punjab on Wednesday allegedly died of suicide after he hung himself from a tree near the Singhu border.
He is part of the protest against central agricultural law, police said.
I was identified as Gurpreet Singh, the victim was a resident of the district of Fatehgarh Sahib, they said.
The body was sent to a local hospital in Sonipat for postmortem examination, said the Kundli police station.
