From this application, 9.10 lakh was accepted, including 6.65 lakh from men’s candidates and 2.45 lakh from a female candidate, he said according to the number of hours available before the application deadline ended on Tuesday.
The final number of applications may remain around nine lakh because some candidates submit duplicate applications, he said.
The recruitment process was last year damaged by paper exam leakage.
A total of 8.75 Lakh candidates will appear for written tests for 9,700 posts last year when the examination canceled hours before scheduled to begin because of paper leaks.
Patel said the costs of applicants will be accepted until November 12, and after analysis of applicant data, a summons will be issued for candidates around 20 November for a physical examination, which will begin in the first week of December and continues two months.
After that, the written test for the selected candidate will be held in the first week of March next year, he said.
“Candidates must prepare to maintain this time frame and should not expect the process to be delayed,” he said.
