Chennai: The leader of PMK Samadoss on Wednesday urged the Minister of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin to not hold talks with the chairman of the Minister of Kerala for the new Mullaseriyar Dam.
The Government of Tamil Nadu must accelerate the steps to strengthen Baby Dam to raise water storage to a full reservoir level of 152 feet.
In a statement, PMK leader remembers Kerala Krishnankutty’s Kerala statement in the assembly on Tuesday that the state government has decided to hold CM level talks in December to build a new dam.
“This has been a practice for Kerala to invite Tamil Nadu for talks for new dams every time the country suffers from setbacks.
The solution has been found for Mullaseriyar Dam.
Kerala invitation is to instill a new life with a problem,” Ramadoss said, while urging Tamil Nadu to never Fall in the “trap fraud” Kerala to take his rights.
Appoint a failure of tripartite talks from the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister M Karanganidhi and vs Achuthananandan and then between Minister S Duraimurugan and NK Premachandran after the Supreme Court in 2006 to increase the water level to 142ft, Ramadoss said the latest steps of Kerala was to hold Tamil Nadu from raising Storage and instill life for new Dam plans.
The Supreme Court found a safe dam in 2014 and allowed Tamil Nadu to increase the surface of the water to 142 feet and then 152 feet after strengthening Baby Dam.
Storage cannot be increased to 152 feet even after seven years of assessment.
Kerala continued to prevent the strengthening of Baby Dam for this reason, the PMK leader accused.
He said the supervisory committee appointed by the Supreme Court has directed the Kerala government to allow Tamil Nadu to fall into 15 trees.
The Kerala government has freezes the order, but permission must be granted immediately.
